Additive Manufacturing Can Replace cNC Machining

While we have been working with plastic components for over 30 years, we have also worked with 3D printed parts for that long as well.  Unfortunately, in the early days an SLA mold would only last approx. 12-15 shots. SLS had grainy appearances and both processes took forever to complete. Since 2015 Additive Manufacturing has arrived and many customers are using 3D printing for production parts to reduce time to market, reduce tooling costs and increase design iterations with lower cost and time.
